UCSC OpenLab Research Center is dedicated to pursuing, promoting, and serving interdisciplinary innovation in the arts, sciences and technology.

Since 2010 OpenLab has served the campus community for purposes of networking, resource-sharing, best practices, research, documentation and events in art, science and technology.

Founded and Directed by Art Professor Jennifer Parker with support from Astrophysics Professor Enrico Rameriz-Ruiz , the Center targets complex education issues of national significance regarding the ability of art and science researchers to collaborate on research endeavors.
